ABOUT ME
Hi there! My pen name is Audrey Dae, and I'm a young adult author of What You're In For (2022) and other works. I recently graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from the University of Missouri, where I serve as the assistant contest editor for the Missouri Review literary journal and copyedit for The Maneater newspaper. In my spare time I work as a violin and music teacher, based in Columbia, MO.
My Story
Audrey Dae Bush hails from rural river town Washington, Missouri and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from the University of Missouri - Columbia, plus certificates in digital global studies and multicultural studies. She is the winner of the 2023 prize for Best Undergraduate Honors English Thesis for her capstone creative short fiction at MU, the 2022 Davidson Fellowship for first place in the T. S. Eliot’s Waste Land Centennial Artistic Competition for short fiction, a 2022 LED (Literature Emitting Diodes) award for microfiction, and a 2022 University Libraries Undergraduate Research Contest award for her critical scholarship. Bush is a reader, social media manager, and assistant contest editor at the Missouri Review literary journal, as well as serves as a copyeditor for The Maneater, MU's longest-running student newspaper. Her debut YA novel What You're In For was published in June 2022 and has seen recognition from Columbia, Missouri's Vox Magazine and the Daniel Boone Regional Library. When she's not writing, Bush works as a studio violin and music teacher based in Columbia.
